The village of Cazorla, only 2 km´s away from the campsite, is seen as one of the most beautiful villages of the provence of Jaén. Cazorla is situated on the slopes of a mountainrange known as “Los Halcones”. Its main attraction is the old city part which can be found around the Morish Castle “La Yedra”. Bordering the Nature Reserve, this Andalusian village can be enjoyed by skirting through its many narrow streets, visiting its monuments and last but not least visit some of the many bars-terasses where one can enjoy one of the many tapas or any of the local dishes.
North of Cazorla, just 1 km away, is
the village of La Iruela located. This village inhabits
approximately 2000 inhabitants. This village can best be discovered
on foot where one can find many cosy corners in the vicinity of the
remains of a castle that is dating back to the era of the knights of
the templar.

A little bit further away, at
approximately 45 km, the medium-size cities of Ubeda and Baeza can
be found. Both cities have been awarded the status of ´world
heritage´, partly because of the fact that that both cities have
many, well maintained, monuments dating back to the renaissance.
Both cities have many beautiful buildings, houses with gorgeous
facades, ceilings and gates, mainly originating from or inspired by
the well known architect Andres de Vandelvira.
